# Introduction

> ❌ To send messages through your account, a billing account must be added, or credits need to be purchased. If you are unclear about whether either of these are configured, it is possible that you are purchasing through a valued partner, such as your EHR vendor and you will need to reach out to them for assistance.

##

## What happens if my credit balance hits zero?

Three possible types of credits could appear on your account.

Paid Credits

Subscription Credits

Overage Credits

If you are using Pay as You Go, your account will only have Paid Credits. Paid Credits decrement to 0 and after your account hits 0, no notifications will be sent from your account.

If you are using a bundle, your account will use your Subscription settings and Overage credits allowing additional optional paid credits. Subscription credits decrease from the monthly amount added and once the Subscription credit balance hits 0, the Overage credits will increment based on usage. Notifications will continue and will be billed at the end of the billing cycle. If you have free credits or additional Paid credits, those will be utilized after your Subscription credits and before accruing Overage credits.

## How can I enable notifications when my credits are low?

***Pay-as-you-go*** accounts support automatic credit purchases once credits drop below a specific amount of credits. Bundle accounts will just go down to zero for their Subscription Credits and count up overage credits. If you would like to either be notified when your account drops below a specific threshold or have your account purchase a specified amount of credits when your account drops below a threshold, you can visit this comprehensive article.

# Manage Credits with Billing

> ✅ *Billing (at *[https://client.artof.chat/settings/Billing](https://client.artof.chat//settings/Billing)*)* is the module to visit to make changes to your billing settings. If you don’t see this option, your account is not eligible for billing modifications and you will need to reach out to Inphonite Sales, or the valued partner that you are purchasing Inphonite services from.

You can manage your credits with *Billing, *access this with the following set of instructions

Alternatively, you could reach the *Billing *menu from the Hamburger menu with the following set of instructions.

## Credit Balances

Credit balances are displayed in two places.

The first is on the Dashboard.

On the *Inphonite Application*, you can find the *Credit Balances* on the bottom third of the page.

> ⚠️ You will not see your credit balance on the *Account Overview* in the desktop application section if your account is using a bundle.

The second place is* *the* Billing* screen.

![image](media://2b2c8ad5-bd5f-4e3e-b46a-4252eed959a2)

> ⚠️ *Paid credits* displays how many credits you have remaining on the account. This number will count down to zero. Once Paid Credits hit 0, you will no longer have the capability to send notifications.

> 📝 *Bundled credits* count down from the amount of bundled credits your account receives. If the bundled credits are go below zero then the amount of credits is incremented in *Overage Credits*.

> ❌ *Overage credits* will count up from zero until the next billing cycle on your account. Overage credits will not count up unless you are using a bundle.

## Auto Notify, Auto Billing, Billing emails

If you’re using Pay as You Go, you will be able to open the *Manage Subscription Wizard* by clicking on either *Auto Notify*, *Auto Billing*, or *Billing Emails*.

![image](media://036ae63a-8a7a-4b1f-b3c0-4cee16239d13)

Configuring Billing Emails will ensure an email is delivered if *an automatic notification on a low credit balance* is checked, if *automatically purchase credits* are checked, or if any credits are purchased on your account through the application or the website.

Automatically notify on low credit balance will send an email if your credit balance drops below a specific threshold. This threshold can be customized so you are notified when you need it.

> ⚠️ We strongly recommend you estimate your weekly usage and enter at least that number, or higher.

![image](media://8b41651d-8b54-4a39-8e0f-ef372f67b555)

Automatically purchasing credits allows for your account to replenish credits based on your threshold. You also can choose the credit threshold to trigger a purchase, the amount of credits purchased, and the billing account to purchase credits. The below indicates that when this account gets down to 50 credits, 1,000 credits will be purchased using MyNewCreditCard.
