SecureChat is a new and exciting feature in Art of Chat! SecureChat gives you the ability to communicate with your customers in a secure, HIPAA-compliant manner. This feature can be enabled for notifications in the Rules Engine *or* in the chat screen by clicking the lock () icon. Here's how it works:

- Once enabled, Art of Chat will send a link to initiate a SecureChat session, rather than sending the message directly.
- When the customer clicks on the link, the conversation will open and provide a secure way to interact with you.
- When sending reminders via TextCards or text messages, you can now include buttons for customers to confirm or cancel their appointments.
- Art of Chat will automatically notify the customer if they have an unviewed pending message.
- All these settings can be customized in [Account Settings](https://client.artof.chat/settings/system)
