### Message Selection

#### Live Person Connected + Answering Machine

A voice message is played to a live person. This is only available if you have selected the action in the [Notification Plan](https://inphonite.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KBPUB/pages/1114734593/Rules+Engine#Notification-Plan) above as one of the voice options.

#### Email Subject + Email Body

Email Subject and Email Body are two components of Inphonite that need to be [designed](https://inphonite.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KBPUB/pages/1062076417/Written+Designers#Email-Designer) and [configured](https://inphonite.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KBPUB/pages/1114734593/Rules+Engine#Notification-Plan) to send.

#### SecureChat

SecureChat is used to send a basic message requesting the recipient to provide credentials that are unique to them (IE: UserID/Pin) confirming their identity before they are sent a more detailed and private message.

#### Text message

A text message is the initial text message sent to the patients. For the text responses, check out the Text Application.

#### TextCard

TextCards are messages sent via MMS instead of SMS and contain an image. These are used to send longer messages or include a photo of a provider or logo, for instance. Responses are handled by the text application.

#### The message is delivering a survey

Check this setting if you are sending an Inphonite Survey with this rule.

### Advanced Settings

We have a detailed breakdown of each item within Advanced Settings [here.](https://inphonite.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KBPUB/pages/1114735516)

#### Message Grouping

![image](media://e55bb226-2f19-46a3-976b-a2de3de720b5)

![image](media://38c59b66-f07e-49de-b251-3a7d6c57474e)

![image](media://8860229e-18e7-462d-b8d4-fa0f82ee9485)

There are two types of grouping: Contact Grouping and Message Grouping.

Contact Grouping should be used if you have two or more people with appointments on the same day and the message is sent to the same number. This is common for siblings, or family members. Be certain to get explicit confirmed approval if you are sending messages utilizing this feature.

Appointment Grouping allows the mention of multiple appointments in one message. This will generally be used if the patient has an appointment at one time and then another later in the day.

#### Auto Retry

![image](media://4f2d4ea7-479b-4c41-b747-cacba186e5b7)

This is how many times the rule will go through the current actions of the Notification Plan. By default, we set Auto retry to 3 times, as when placing a call, we may receive a busy signal and this will allow the reminder to be retried a few minutes later. This can also be done with texts in case we do not receive a text delivery receipt.

> ℹ️ This will only retry until a successful delivery has been achieved. Such as Message delivered, VM left on machine, or Confirm/Cancel.
